They 27. OLD bitches. Too old.

It's hard to imagine a more unappealing concept than this. Just awful. I can't even picture the sick freaks who will actually buy tickets for this and willingly spend an evening sitting through it.

Can't think of anything I didn't consume openly or not at all.

Dots And Loops grabbed me at just the right time. I was listening to a lot of metal and wanted something totally non-rockin' as an alternative. I love the consistently placid mood of it. Very nice when you want a break from Cannibal Corpse.

Never would have thought a slab of colorless dad-rock like Ten would still be cited as a classic 20 years later. Back in 1993 I thought of Pearl Jam as the Grand Funk Railroad of their era, and I have yet to see anything to make me revise that opinion.

I prefer Dots and Loops because it has exactly zero rock n' roll content in it. Jenny Ondioline is a nice track but you can still hear some rock in it. Rock is not what I want from Stereolab.

Why did this not get an F?

Album name aside, R.E.M. defines "cultural safe zone" for affluent honkies. Blind people can visualize the color white just by listening to R.E.M.

Ironic that a soul food restaurant should inspire a piece of art revered by millions of lily-white candy-ass honkies.

Great movie but I burned out on it. Nowadays when I want 70's nostalgia I generally go on youTube and watch live rock performances from the 70's. I've seen Black Sabbath's Paris 1970 concert way too many times.

I agree. It's a great movie and I've seen it at least 20 times but I wouldn't pretend that I have any insights about it that are fresh enough to be conversation-worthy. I'm not sure anybody does at this point.

"Are you cool, man?"

BTW, the first Pentium processors were released in 1993.

No love for Saved By the Bell: The College Years?

Or gritty is the new non-gritty. Seems that way. Gritty is yawns, yo. Old hat.

So non-gritty is the new gritty? Cool!

"Never get out of the boat." Absolutely goddamn right! Unless you were
goin' all the way… Kurtz got off the boat. He split from the whole
fuckin' program.

I just finished watching this doc and it's very good but the flesheating content was disappointingly low. From the review you'd think it was a primary focus but it was a minor afterthought. Best thing was the gorgeous nature footage juxtaposed with narrative indicating that all that lovely scenery is at best

Speaking of cinematic firsts, The Tingler may have been the first American drug-oriented feature film. It really is an LSD freakout movie, and it came out in 1959. Hippies were late to the party. It took them another eight years to catch up to Vincent Price and William Castle.

And he was in Yacht Rock!
