During the good byes Levine seemed to be really disappointed with his performance which actually made me kind of like the guy.

I'm glad someone else found that episode kind of touching. I can't quite say why because it was as silly as any other Huel appearance, but it really was a nice send off for the character.
The end with the "Stephanie Suicide Fan-Fiction" made me laugh as much as anything on any podcast ever.
"we're going to fight? I've got a sock full of old batteries in my locker!" cracked me up.
I has haunted me for years and I still can't find an answer- was Dwayne supposed to fall off the skateboard? It always looked to me more like an actor laughing at his screw up than a kid laughing at himself.
That was obviously a meta-comment on the way reality shows just edit things however they want in order to tell the story they want to tell.
No kidding. Without those 4 kids season 4 doesn't work anywhere near as well as it did. He taught those kids well.
One thing I didn't quite get about Brick's day- when was it supposed to be? You'd figure Axl was Sat, Sue was Sun so wouldn't Brick's be the next week which would give Frankie & Mike plenty of time to recover?
Her saying "fuck" in her very first sketch was pretty funny.
It's an anthology book so in theory I could have seen it having a good run, but it pretty quickly turned in to a book with B-level talent doing stories about B-level characters. And I like some talent and characters who'd be considered B-level, but it's no formula for a long running book.
I really enjoyed Hickman's run and Fraction's first few issues haven't been up to that level, but it's still good. But FF is the gem of the bunch, partly because I'm a sucker for Allred's art.
Yeah, I officially gave up on ANIMAL MAN. I just don't care and there appears to be no end in sight.
Plus unless it's somehow my fault I don't think Jake has uploaded the videos to Youtube since episode 14 or so. Yes, I could easily search for them, but why should I have to devote this much effort to enjoy a podcast?
Yeah, I wish we were getting a GIVEN DAY movie first.
I realize that GO ON might be my least favorite show. I mean that literally- of the shows I watch and enjoy on a regular basis this is the one I enjoy the least while still finding worth my time to watch.
I don't know who to credit, but it seems like the kid actors on this show are especially good. All three kids who had lines last night just nailed them.
That's up there with "Where the fuck is Wallace?" on my list of heartbreaking questions asked on TV shows. Seriously, it got to me because as viewers it was just a silly show, but that reminded us that he was a real person who had real emotional attachment to these people.
I agree. My love of Do or Die makes the Dropkick Murphys just about the only band where I say "Their old stuff is better" w/o any irony.
Know what's funny? Some cable network was airing Letterman reruns for a while and I swear they did a Head Detective sketch starring Biff Henderson before IN LIVING COLOR existed. I assume it was written by the same guy, but it's a weird crossover.
Yeah, I was a big fan when it originally aired, but outside of a few sketches (Homey the Clown always made me laugh and I had a weirds soft spot for "Hey, Mon") it just doesn't hold up. Very dated.
