Perhaps she clings to this idea she "made him great," as maybe the only rationalization with which she can live with what was taken from her.

Quite true. But Deb has a tendency to look down on other women a lot of the time. But that may just be a reflection of the fact the writers kind of write her as a man with a vagina.
>>Also, Johnny Lee Miller and his blood vial necklace made me recall he was married to Our Holy Mother and Savior, Angelina Jolie.
I have believed they've been building up ever since probably season 3 that Dexter just BOUGHT he's a sociopath and isn't one. Last ep, we had Harry point this possibility out, that he was wrong. I believe he was. For one thing, he assumed from Dexter acting out just ONE part of the serial killer profile that he was…
I just noticed too—Keith Carradine's purpose seems to be traditionally to get sucker-shot. Not just here or in DEADWOOD, either. That's how he dies in MCCABE & MRS. MILLER too.
>>Deb has also been the manipulated victim of a serial killer, has had another boyfriend be a living victim of a serial killer, and of course was devastated by Lundy. So I do think she has a specific insight in dealing with victim hood.
>>People suspect the nanny because the show pays so much attention to her, and gives her so much screen time. She must have some sort of role to play in the plot.
She's kind of his totem or familiar, I think. So long as she is alive, he retains his power. I'll bet that's pretty much how he views it. And why he will not touch her.
Point. I do think in season 1 they were playing with the notion, then dropped it. There were a few moments when you had to wonder.
>>Kill LaGuerta. She's way past whatever usefulness she used to have. I don't think I've cared about her involvement one iota after the Miguel plot wrapped up.
I was floored
Last night's DEXTER was amazing. (and I've never been impressed by Julia Stiles before, but I am now) They really do save all the good stuff for the last three or four eps per season, don't they? And I'm still wondering how they're going to kill Peter Weller. Or will they?
Little Shop Of Horros Didn't Begin as a Musical
>>Little Shop Of Horrors (1986)
In the second cinematic version of the Alan Menken and Howard Ashman botanic horror musical…
I've driven through the West to and from the WC a number of times, and Sinclair is the only station for miles(or was as of at least 3 years ago) in many parts of it, especially Wyoming, which is at least 100 miles between stations, or more, sometimes. And they still sell those inflatable dinosaurs. I have one right…
Depends which Crimson. Version 1—COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING. Version 2—LARK'S TONGUES IN ASPIC. Version 3—well, I like THREE OF A PERFECT PAIR best. But that was the first KC I heard so I'm sentimental.
>>In a world where we could have nice things, Transmetropolitan would be a miniseries.
"in lieu of making actual jokes about someone, occasionally they'll just bring them out and beat the shit out of them."
But sometimes that's all you CAN do. I'm just astounded they're able to do satire at all in a time in which it writes itself as you watch.
>>A review I read of his "Batman: The Widening Gyre" mini-series got it right, that you'd have descend to the depths of the worst indie comics of the 1990's to find writing and art as awful.
I seriously disliked KICK-ASS and wanted all its characters to die. Although I will say this: had it stopped at the first issue, that would have been a decent self-contained anti-superhero story.
