Maybe Jeeps Can't Read
But before they got such an awesome active attitude they sat around all day watching Mystery's reality show (the pick-up artist?)

yeah Where The Wild Things Are is really captivating until "let the wild rumpus begin," then there's a lot of bickering w/o much in terms of stakes. Some great visual moments and a bit of nice dark humor, but no momentum. Felt longer than 1.5 hrs bc it was so slow and shorter bc so little happened.

Shotgun Stories = Best movie of 2008. Also people need to stop comparing it to David Gordon Green movies constantly, in part because the aesthetic is different (bleaker, more tension in every scene) and also cuz it's better than every DGG movie.

The Debarted
Wasn't there a simpsons ep from a couple years ago with this same title? Can't remember whether bart was Dicaprio or Damon, but the other kid was Topher Grace?

I love the Carter 3 cover as well, but don't have a problem with someone saying it sux, what's annoying is the idea that Wayne was too lazy and apathetic to make a good cover, so he made this instead. The combined lack of basis for this argument and presumption towards objectivity (if the artist doesn't believe in

I've made this stupid joke before…
But I was really hoping this movie was gonna be a high concept comedy, where Maguire, Gyllenhaal, Portman, and Michael Strahan are all brothers. Y'know like 'Twins' for a new generation. Sadly this was not the case.

Goddamn it, misspellings in quotations are especially terrible. Sorry.

To be fair to whoever wants to diss Tom Ford, he doesn't come across great in that either. It was unnecessary to grill Reitman after he came over to give Ford a compliment and rude to tell Reitman to shut up and go away while he was talking. But that has nothing on the pomposity of declaring "movies are not meant to

For the Lulz
from the ny times profile of Tom Ford, director of A Single Man;

Really, Far From Heaven?
Most anemic shittiest repressive 50s movie evar. Seriously fuck that movie up the ass so that it can realize that the norms of society are so difficult to deal with and it likes being sodomized as its eyes are opened to a world where enjoying movie sodomy is allowed and exhilerating despite

Elephant would have been the worst movie ever even if everyone in it could act. OK maybe not the worst movie ever but pointless, artless and morally repugnant nonetheless. As for Paranoid Park, the fact that the kid had real teenage awkwardness was endearing at first, then after you found out what happened the

I have been to this McDonalds. (14h & 6th right?) All snark aside it is slightly less depressing than every other McDonalds I've been to. Including the one that's a few blocks away.

8 1/2 is the story of a handsome man overwhelmed by the amount of really awesome poon he's getting, it's got some ugly extras but be real there's no shortage of beautiful people in it.

Also Woody Allen already made an idiotic remake of 8 1/2. It was called Stardust Memories and it was OK

"It luxuriated in the most mediocre aspects of the music world of the 70s"

Killa Season
Nabin you ever seen Cameron Giles' masterful directorial debut? Just asking cuz Cam released it during their feud and fiddy clowned him for it, now it looks like he's sorta ripping it off? At any rate it sounds like a decent point of comparison for this film.

So I'm confused
I'm pretty sure that's the same mother in 4 of those pictures, but is she posing with the same baby? will she make that baby wear 4 costumes on halloween Or did she have quadruplets? And aren't there other Real housewives of New Jersey? Was this idea somehow too tasteless for them?

Shandling, motherfucker

In a Lonely Place the book is pretty bad. Though the plot is changed enough in the movie that it's barely an adaptation. Also I started that Children of Men book and couldn't get into it
