For Goodness Sakes, Take a Look At Those Cakes is definitely more than 10 minutes and also the best song title ever. Plus James makes fun of Ray and Stevie for being blind!

what the fuck are you guys talking about, Jason Schwartzman is terrible in Huckabees, Marie Antoinette, Funny People, Darjeeling and especially atrocious in Slackers. He was well cast in Rushmore as the right guy in the right role at the right time but the guy is not a good actor.
Kicking and Sreaming is an absolutely terrible movie which has none of the warmth, insight or humor of 'Disco' or 'Metropolitan' despite superficial similarities. The only thing that makes it almost worthwhile is the appropriate casting of Elliot Gould. Squid and the Whale is pretty good though, Baumbach's better…
N.W.A
Sorry but everything in the EFIL4ZAGGIN writeup is wrong. After becoming stars by making nihilistic gangster shit, they just went farther into gangsterism, and I don't see how that's a left turn at al. If anything the production is way slicker, more refined, there's nothing as catchy or well put together on…
Douthat is replacing William Kristol, it's an upgrade
Swope!
pretty much everyone at the agency depicted in Putney Swope, especially Swope himself.
Look, I love the Josie and the Pussycats movie more than any heterosexual man should
but acting like Parker Posey isn't in tons of bad movies all the time is ridiculous. You've Got Mail or Blade Trinity are nowhere near as bad as say, The Sweetest Thing

The whole point of these Caruso puns is that they're lame and unfunny, just like on the show. This one was exactly on, could have been featured.
Mo Better Blues is like a decent enough trifle of a movie except it has the best cinematography and sound design ever. Dickerson is the best. I need to see Jungle Fever except I expect it's aged horribly.

Anybody think the G-ratedness of this review detracts a bit?
I mean my favorite songs on this were "Fuck Y'all" and "Cream In Ya Panties"
I find it hard to believe there are people who'd rather listen to MC Paul Barman than Kurupt. Bitch. Quik is way better on this tho.

Do it. I've had a shot of it myself and didn't think it was that terrible. Link to prove existence http://sanlowalan3minibot.v…
Another List
Maybe "adaptations in name only" where filmmakers took a couple basic elements of a book, but changed everything enough so that it bore close to no resemblance to the original. Examples of this would include Children of Men, In a Lonely Place, 1967 Casino Royale etc.
He died before The Grifters and After Dark My Sweet, so I think all he was alive for was the original Getaway, which as I remember he didn't like because it changed the story to be more of a straightforward action movie. He liked the Kubrick movies he wrote for (The Killing, Paths of Glory) but got mad a Kubrick over…
The Big Bounce
As I remember, Elmore Leonard said that he thought the original Big Bounce was the worst movie he'd ever seen until he saw the remake. I haven't seen the original but enjoyed the remake for the disposable little piece of fluff it was, but still a great sentiment.
Next Steps
Anything produced by Khayree, especially Mac Mall's Illegal Business and Ray Luv's Forever Hustlin or Who Can Be Trusted EP. Young Black Brotha records and the Bay in general stay unconscionably slept on.
That was Talib Kweli. Holland's joke as I understand it was that the lighting on MCA was so bad he looked black. Unless it wasn't meant as a joke, or Bunk was just pretending to not get it.
