I think some of the newbies are already kind of on to how disastrous things are going to be for Robb, but that scene really would have put it over the top. It would have been much more obvious as a television scene than it was in the book.

I definitely did not see the Red Wedding coming from that scene. Part of it might be that all the crazy shit happening in the House of the Undying just blended together into a crazy mess for me, so I didn't try to read that much into it.

By that logic, how is Beric Dondarrion being "added"? Wasn't he already in season 1?

@avclub-b78e4578a585718a031c5455a9d66de4:disqus I also like how they're building the song. Makes me think it's going to have to show up again for THAT part of SOS. Also, just like with Harrenhal, it makes me think Todd's backstory corner will be made redundant in a future episode.

Martin humanized her in the books too, though. She might not have been quite so remorseful about Joffrey's cruelty as she is in the show, but otherwise all those things are in there. She's been treated as a piece of property because she's a woman, ignored and abused by her husband, and she gets no respect despite her

My biggest problem with the TV Hound is that they have downplayed his relationship with Sansa. I think he's played him as enough of an asshole, but a lot of his best moments were with Sansa and some of the important ones don't appear on TV. Most notably in the first season when Littlefinger tells Sansa how he was

My mom has read all the books and she still thought it looked like Sansa was leaving with the Hound, even though she was sure the show wouldn't actually take THAT big a departure.

SPOILERS: Yeah, I think it's easy to read books 4 and 5 and just think she's not very smart, when I think a lot of it has more to do with how paranoid she's become after Joffrey's death and Tyrion's escape. Her scenes last night reinforced how smart the character is (even if she's not quite as smart as her father or

Haha, well sometimes you just have to find strange reasons for rooting interests when it gets down to 4 teams.
