I'd agree. I do think he at least does a good job defending why the things he's nitpicking actually matter in making the movie subpar. And he sprinkles enough comedic tidbits to keep it from just feeling like an annoying nerd-rage rant a-la sf debris.

Bad Horse hits the nail on the head. The point at which I realized Nemesis was the worst of the movies was when one of my favorite characters ever died and I didn't feel anything about it.

My rankings:

What, you didn't like the 20-minute shot of the Enterprise exterior?

Agreed. But I did like that Insurrection actually gave Riker a bit of a chance to shine, instead of just Picard and Data. Still, while First Contact is definitely more cinematic and a better _movie_, Insurrection has more of a Trek feel, and while it's not the best, it's certainly better than Time's Arrow.

And I think the fact that it's the guest star talking him down IS a huge problem. Look at the fact that Picard is usually open to hearing what his subordinates have to say, coupled with the fact that one of his most trusted officers AND most martial-minded members of the crew (Worf) tried to talk him down and he

I thought they destroyed it so easily because of Picard's psychic link or whatever the hell it was… Not the most satisfying explanation, but I guess it's consistent with everything else going on…

Easily the best Alexander episode, FWIW (not much, but still - good episode)

I enjoy Enterprise quite a bit, and I haven't even reached any of the Xindi stuff yet. I love Scott Bakula, and Tripp is pretty great once he gets a little more 3-dimensional instead of just constantly spouting off about how great humans are. The Archer-Tucker-T'pol thing I think is obviously supposed to mimic

I think very few people other than Prole Hole will argue for watching Voyager. There were only 2 characters I liked at all, and one of them (Janeway) was never written consistently. To me, the premise was really interesting, but most of the episodes were boring, substandard TNG rehashes, or absolutely ludicrous (like

The few episodes they did that dealt with the tension didn't really do so in any kind of satisfying way.

Almost none of the original-run Futurama episodes were bad. The only one I see here that I really don't like is "That's Lobstertainment!" Even at its worst, Futurama was "just" pretty funny. Even the new run has exceeded my (admittedly cynical) expectations. But there certainly have been a few subpar ones.

Oh yeah, "That's Lobstertainment!" Of all the episodes that have been mentioned, this is the first from the original run that I actively just don't like. I also don't think I'm too fond of the second Santa episode, but I haven't seen it in a long time.

I still have to go with "Angel One" or "Code of Honor." There were some pretty embarrassing episodes in Season 7, but the production quality and acting had improved too much for even the worst ("Sub Rosa") to be as bad as almost anything in Season 1.

I haven't even gotten to Enterprise's 3rd season (the "good" one, I guess), but already I'm pretty sure it's better than Voyager. Half of the Voyager plots I've seen consist of some boring-ass space anomaly or something so ridiculous that it's near unwatchable ("Threshold," the Amelia Earhart one). Also, Enterprise

Is that the Quark cross-dressing episode? If so, yes. Absolutely.

Even the actual plot of the last episode isn't that bad. Personally, I just hated the fact that it was a really long clip show.

I remember liking it quite a bit, though I don't think I've seen it since it was in theaters.

Right around where I am as well. I'm still trying to catch up to the reviews. At the rate I'm going, I think I'll be there in time for the show to consistently suck.

No, you're not alone. There are 4 of us.
