Sorry, Zack, I'm not trying to talk as though you weren't "in the room," as it were.

I feel like there was less in the way of digressions. I generally love Zack's writing, but sometimes he can go a couple paragraphs on a subject that's only tangentially related to the episode.
They didn't even have to put a red shirt on Hawk for you to know exactly what was going to happen to him.
It's okay, Walter. We all have embarrassing things we liked when we were younger. If it makes you feel better, I really liked Superman IV when I was young.
Jeebus Jones, I think you've forgotten about a lot of Ferengi episodes on DS9
I like this post idea, and I hope it doesn't die from being too far buried in the 2nd page of comments.
You beat me to it, Tales to Enrage
To be fair, if you get the instructions "Hey, write an episode featuring Lwaxana Troi AND Alexander!" how in the world are you going to pull that off?
I'm sure you're right about the way you were introduced completely shaping your view of Trek. I grew up watching TNG with my Mom around starting around Season 4 or 5 of the original run (also catching reruns often). So to me, TNG is "real" Star Trek, and perhaps I would overrate it. I'd consider it my favorite,…
I disagree with you, Soylent Green, because Frakes's acting was good, as was the actress opposite him. Those are just some of the good things about the episode. Whenever I see that it's this episode on TV, I get excited and make sure to stay tuned for the whole thing.
I could give Voyager a little leeway for that because they kind of had slim pickings in terms of crew available. I would definitely argue that it is pretty far down the list of Voyager's problems.
I never needed to have that knowledge, Bad Horse
FortyTwo's suggestion makes that episode all the sudden make a lot more sense.
Oh wow, I didn't think of that. I think it's especially interesting because people might be more willing to see it as more "acceptable" to cure autism than to cure gay. But what would autistic people have to say about that?
Highly Illogical: I have had that problem as well. My solution is to reload the page after reading the reviews and some of the comments so that I am more up to date.
It's not as bad as when Quantum Leap eventually starting basing EVERY SINGLE EPISODE around having some celebrity involved. Oh look, that little boy is Steven King and he will get all his ideas from the weird crap going on! Oh look, I'm Elvis!
True, Richelieu Jr. And just because you compare two things, and how one reminds you of another, I wouldn't take that as an implied "This came before that" statement.
Because Geordi romances inevitable end in cringing
Well, I kind of agree about the two hot women kissing not being as "brave" as having two men kiss. But I think the principle was still the same. They are dealing with a sexual taboo that takes place between two consenting adults, and thus could be seen as a message about LGBT issues. And as FortyTwo mentioned, I think…
On the other hand, we've only ever had human captains. Because humans are just so great and awesome (shutupWorfdoesn'tcountbecausetheDefiantwasn'tthemainaspectoftheshow)
