According to the editors of Nemesis, Wesley does not actually exist

Yeah, Clemens and ESPECIALLY Jack London were pretty cringe-inducing. But I did like the freaky stuff with Data's head, as well as the little bit of history it shows between Guinan and Picard.

While I agree for the most part, I actually disagree about his romance with Troi. I honestly found his tryst with Ro much more believable (erased minds or no, their personalities were still intact). TNG often seems to reiterate that while Riker is a ladies' man, he is a sort of "24th Century ladies' man," and he's

Not saying AIDS doesn't deserve to be treated seriously, but wow. Remember Zack talking about how mind-numbing "message" episodes can be? I imagine an AIDS episode being the pinnacle of that.

I can see that, but one of the duties of the captain is to also make split second decisions in a time of crisis. He didn't exactly have time to think it over for more than a couple seconds.

Oh, people pick on Sub Rosa all the time, but Cost of Living is far and away worse.

@Evan: Well, Dax was sort of bisexual it seems, though maybe you could just attribute that to having experienced being both male and female.

The First Duty is great
It's superior in just about every way to any other episode featuring Wesley. Maybe this is in part because he has made such a huge mistake, which is contrary to his original Mary Sue status. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the Alexander episode is about the polar opposite.

Yeah, I think it was a good way of showing that different cultures might have different ideas of what the "normal" sexuality is supposed to be - as opposed to making every species homophobic or something, which might implicitly give that kind of thinking credence.

It's not like they don't have about 20 different ways to just send them back to their original time, right? Off you go! Or would that break the prime (time?) directive by interfering with the past if they have some knowledge of the future?

The rule is you can call it football if you're not from the U.S. Otherwise, no. It's soccer. (Not meaning to imply who is and isn't from the U.S., of course)

Or perhaps Arbiter of Getting Riled Up Too Easily?

Arbiter of Trollness

Screw that Kevin Johnson, I live in Alabama. I don't want some idiot for govern… wait… damn…

I really can't argue against the NBA-lovers. They have very sound arguments. But since I live in a state with no NBA team, I just can't get into it. I can watch college football, college basketball, and the NFL in large part because I have a rooting interest I can be passionate about. I guess because this has gone on

I think it's fine to include conference champions as automatic bids. But they should be just that - the actual conference champions, not just a team that got hot for a couple games (or 50, if you're in the Big East) in the conference tournament. As a result of the way the auto-bids work, you get some NIT automatic bid

Everyone knows parmigiano reggiano is better.

I'm not encouraging eugenics here, but I would think that if you performed selective breeding to the point that you had people who were basically "perfect," that would eliminate a risk of genetic defects brought about by inbreeding. I mean, there could always be a genetic mutation, but that could happen whether

The only point in DS9 I can think of in which I DIDN'T like Worf and that he seemed too much like a stock/1-dimensional character was that awful Risa episode. He's like some kind of Shaker or something. And it really made me question how he could be in a serious relationship with Dax at that point. However, it
