I am also surprised by the jump in quality from S1 to S2. I mean, I always just remembered the crappy S2 episodes, but I forgot some good ones like Time Squared were there too. I guess I really do need to get the DVDs…

I honestly liked all the movies more than most people seemed to. In some ways they aren't quite on par with many of the best and even "average" (average for Futurama is still very good IMO) episodes, but they were still quite enjoyable for the most part.

Because "The Royale" is to the point, and it's much easier to recall what the episode is than if I had to think "A King of Infinite Space… what episode was that?" Since my enjoyment of the episode is in no way contingent upon the title, I think it's better to just make the title concise and have it tell you a little

I think technobabble is okay, but only in very limited contexts. The thing is, it's science fiction, and if all the science made sense… well, we'd be flying around in these ships right now. So they have to make up some stuff that doesn't make sense. But obviously it's lazy writing and not very interesting TV if a

Super excited about new Futurama, and I'm glad to see we're getting reviews. I was also excited to see Zack would be doing them. I just hope the level of commenting isn't permanently going to be so full of trolls

Overall not as good as the peak episodes of the series (which is about 2/3 the episodes in the original run) but still at least as good as the zoidberg episodes

Way too much arguing over the Simpsons for this Futurama thread.

Well, they always spent different amounts of time on different characters in different episodes. The only problem I had with the two new ones were basically that BOTH of them centered on Fry-Leela, rather than say, one on Fry-Leela, another on Bender or Farnsworth or something. Granted, Fry and Leela were always

Eponymous, I will NOT hear any more of your blasphemy.

Fair enough. I actually tried to think of another admiral to counter your assertion but I couldn't come up with any.

SPOILER ALERT

Well, the problem is that modulating the frequency or reversing the polarity of the neutron flow wouldn't work in that instance. As O'Brien mentions, the waveform modulator would be overloaded without the regeneration limiter in the first stage circuit. Now I know what you're thinking - "there's no way simply

Baby needs a new pair of shoes!

I also thought bringing back his flute was a nice touch

Agreed with ToddG. The whole speech at the beginning of the credits kind of reinforces it to me.

I actually liked Attached. Also, Lessons, though

'I also really liked Geordi's exchange in Contagion when he calls the Enterprise "The most sophisticated piece of machinery ever built." I just see Data being all "Geordi, I'm right here."'

Looks like it's time to start carrying around Hustler magazines

Just saw the thread on grading earlier and I want to clarify I'm not trying to criticize Zack on his gradings. Obviously I'm enjoying these a lot or I wouldn't be coming back every week. Just stating that I would personally give them somewhere in the C range (oh look, I can do that on here!)
