Ok.

I watched the entire series while working on a project and approached it from this "you're supposed to hate them" lens.

I haven't read it since I was a teenager. I do wonder if it would hold up against a reread now that I'm in my 30s. I'm a little afraid to find out, especially since I don't like Gaiman as a novelist.

Here's my status report:

I'm not the biggest fan either. Cheers.

Doctor Who brings out the worst in me. I'm normally not a "Stop liking what I don't like" type, but I'm so constantly bombarded by Doctor Who (and Star Wars) merchandise, conversations, and references that I can't help it.

I really want to like this guy, but he seems like such an upbeat sycophant. I don't think I like people unless they seem unhappy and mean at least some of the time, if not all of the time.

Yeah, I was a teenager in the 90s and was firmly on Blur's side of that little tiff. The whole thing seems ridiculous now, but I still have some residual hatred for Oasis and just how bland they were.

Disagree. I don't even like pizza, but I have started ordering Domino's because that pizza tracker is amazing.

Agreed. I feel like my insides would be forever tainted if I ingested this stuff.

Sorry, but I like them.

Cadbury eggs. I didn't realize this was a point of contention.

Trying to punish someone because you don't agree with their views seems pretty shitty to me though, especially when their views are as mild mannered as Common's.

I hope so, they're both incredibly likeable. I'm usually anti-reproduction, but those two should really help populate the earth.

I was planning on getting HBO Now once it was available, but in the meantime I was using pirate bay. Then I got a warning from my internet provider (or rather, my sister's internet provider, as I'm temporarily staying with her) for downloading an episode of Girls.

I like him a lot, but lately he's gotten increasingly smug and lazy. I get ktired of him having to insert himself into the situation anytime something happens. I kind of wish he'd just go back to making dick jokes.

I wonder how much it has to do with being called out by another black male, and another comedian to boot. There's something about that that injects all the more venom into Buress' comments, and I haven't really figured out why.

The things that bugs me about people who say that is that you know they never watched the operas, so they're getting all superior and uppity over nothing.

Nowadays it seems to be used pretty much across the board for general unpleasantness. When they first started, or at least when I first became aware of them, they were intended to warn people who might hurt themselves (eating disorders, self injury, suicidal, etc) to proceed with caution (or skip altogether) when

But what is the important purpose? I used to be a self injurer and I first came across trigger warnings ~10 years ago or so on support forums. I thought they were pretty nonsensical even then because what's triggering can vary from person to person so much.
