I was a pretty big anglophile back when I watched Whose Line, so I may be remembering incorrectly due to my biases at the time, but I remember the US version pandering to the audience much more.

I thought I was too old for that shit too, but then one day I thought maybe my ipod nano had fallen out of my bag at work, and I lived in terror of someone scrolling through all my Justin Bieber and kpop singles.

That's pretty crazy. You can recognize that it's not the song's fault but still get so fucking sick to death of something that you can't help but hate it.

Maybe it's because I pay for Spotify, but I don't have any of these issues. You can only play a certain track a limited number of times on the free version?

I always hated it until I read a zine that had a story about an entire bar of rejected losers who failed to get anyone to take them home that night erupting into a sing a long at closing time.

Do you need to play earthbound to get Mother 3?

Wow, I find it incredibly difficult but oftentimes it's because I also have to satisfy monetary, time, and distance requirements on top of it due to my boss being cheap and uptight.

How do you know if there's a vegan in the room?

This stance is so bizarre to me. Not everyone is going to be happy with the selected food, whether it's for taste reasons, health reasons, or moral reasons. If you have dietary restrictions or picky tastes, it doesn't seem inconsiderate to me that you should be expected to provide for yourself. What's inconsiderate is

Sure. I did not choose to not like stuff.

I'm not really sure that not having a free lunch catered to the minority is the same as telling the minority to go fuck itself.

Get their own food, much like I do when I don't like what everyone else is having, which is almost always.

I always feel bad saying it!

If it helps, I hate Mexican food and have spent a number of lunches ordering chips and queso and trying not to sulk.

I don't think that's what I'm saying. I don't really like bending over backwards for a small minority, especially if it's at the expense of the majority. I don't think that means there's no accommodation on my part. It just seems nonsensical.

I have no problem accommodating vegetarians when there are already vegetarian options. I hate having to seek out places with vegetarian options though, especially when 90% of the staff just wants to go to the hamburger place.

Is it ok if we inwardly roll our eyes while having to accommodate vegetarians during work functions? Because I do find that incredibly annoying, especially as a very picky eater who never expects to have my particular tastes taken into consideration.

Am I the only one who likes the new AV Club? There's navigation issues I wish they would solve and the search is awful but it always was. Disqus is also awful, but that's a third party thing.

I've only gotten sleep paralysis a few times, but they definitely rank among the worst experiences of my life. I'm not sure about the reenactments though. It seems like it would be like hearing someone else's dream - deeply personal and meaningful to the person involved but nonsensical and boring to anybody else.

Yeah, I watched Six Feet Under for the first time recently and was pretty shocked at how subpar I found it. I wonder if it gets a lot of its acclaim from being around long before other longform shows like Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, etc.
