See, I'd rather deal with Dawn's tirades and watch some one actually play a very dominant game, which Dawn did, than watch Sherri do nothing but proclaim in talking heads that she was controlling the game. I'm always infuriated by the weak person who doesn't even realize they're the weak person.

Maybe I'll have to go back and rewatch it,but I remember Ozzy singling him out as an albatross almost immediately.

I only want to see potentially awesome players come back, no matter how unlikeable they are. I prefer it when seasons are stacked full of high performing players, with no goats or cannon fodder.

I know I'm late to the party, but I just wanted to chime in that I'm thrilled Cochran won. The all-in-one combination of a bullied nerd, a lifelong fan, and a strategic player who deserved the win made it one of the most satisfying finales I can remember.

I would have picked Eric after he literally risked life and limb for a coconut. So I'm not sure i buy that it was designed JUST to mess with Dawn.

@Scrawler2:disqus  It just read like a plodding, outdated young adult novel with a genius fixation.
For me, it's not really good as sci fi and it's not really good as literature. I'm not sure I got anything out of it that I couldn't have gotten out of reading a wikipedia synopsis.

I love the Animals, but I'm glad this guy picked a really good song. I'd really much rather read some one bitch about an awesome or well regarded song that's a personal hatred of theirs rather than some one bitch about some Black Eyed Peas piece of shit that everyone else hates too.

Maybe because I read it as an adult, but I thought Ender's Game was pretty shitty art too.

I read the book for the first time as an adult, and it struck me really weird how many times Card casually mentioned that Ender took a shower.

The pixelmatic is used in Hamlet as well, IIRC, to very good effect.

I hated Heart Shaped Box too.  But I love Locke and Key.

I didn't like Juno very much, but Young Adult was fucking fantastic.

@Goon_Diapers:disqus I was actually really excited for it. I really liked the trailer and had a lot of good will towards Zach Braff because of Scrubs.

@avclub-6cc027d1eec4ea0bb34b0d12647974d9:disqus Slice of life means mundane and realistic.  Garden State is hardly the epitome of either of those things.

How is Garden State a "slice of life" movie? Nothing in it feels remotely authentic.

@avclub-84e43a60237ffece9cd4c85c103e298c:disqus I would agree that the Furs have way more going on than a John Hughes soundtrack.

@avclub-eee6e49e09ab1c283e2d7689d45a7b4b:disqus I don't find him all that charming either. This guy is just lost on me.

@avclub-2378677b42d71f3f051d32bfaf88c1d7:disqus  Oh, I'm solidly in Cochran's corner. I go for smug book learned types, ESPECIALLY when they're playing against good looking All American boys.

As pointed out earlier, Cochran's advice to Reynold was logically incorrect due to the lack of a reveal, even though it would have wound up working.  Reynold had the same 33% chance with any of the trays.

Eh, that's not true anymore.  They have slop now, which I think is supposed to be like nasty oatmeal?  Survivors would still probably welcome it.
