Interesting. That sounds like Steve Buscemi's character in Ghost World too, where he ends up in a relationship with a woman that's completely wrong for him just because she was willing to be in a relationship with him. When he breaks up with her, he admits he would sometimes remain in terrible relationships for years

This is a very shallow one, but about 10-12 years ago, I came across a (very mediocre comic) called Blue Monday in which the main character's music taste is almost an exact mirror of my own.

Do you mean you like any guy that's nice to you?

I don't think she should have picked Duckie…that would have felt artificial and trite.

I don't think that's fair. I dislike "nice guys" as much as the next person, but I don't think having an unrequited crush on a friend automatically places you in that category.

I too imagined a 5th grader unhappy with how his life turned out.

Man, I am so lame. I'm like Season 1 Skyler.

Am I missing something? His car got broken into….why would he be noticeably upset?  Or was this just an opportunity to make Walter White jokes?

Phillip absolutely did not throw the challenge. I'm not sure he even has it in him to throw a challenge. Any chance he has to prove he's the best, he's going to try.

I don't remember exactly what was said, but I interpreted it as her saying that they would have done better doing if she just did it by herself, but not that she would have won it by herself.

I don't find him entertaining at all.  I just find him vile, and this is coming from some one who enjoyed Colton and Naonka.

I also didn't get it because she seemed to be saying that the fans couldn't have the idol because Malcolm and her had it (ha).

I wonder what it must be like to be having a viewing party with your friends and family to watch your booting episode and have to sit through that sort of analysis about yourself. I wish we got to see footage of that.

Maybe I'm an asshole who enjoys exploitation of mental illness, but I wish Brandon really had gotten violent with Phillip. Now that he's gone, who else is going to smack that smug look off Phillip's face?

I think I am just a Survivor contrarian. I hated Malcolm last season. I thought he talked a big game about strategy, but he always seemed to pee himself at the thought of making a move. He also dropped way too many "golden boy" bombs to showcase his sensitivity or intelligence, and it made me sick.

I think whether Brandon hits his wife or not is pretty unrelated to whether or not he can deal with Phillip's asshattery while starving, lonely, and stressed and being exploited by a tv show that mocked the shit out of him in a previous season.

That's interesting, because it's completely the other way round for me. Phillip treats people like shit to their faces, doesn't even realize it, and everyone plays along. They'll laugh at him at the reunion, where he'll likely be in the final three, and he'll think they're laughing with him and that he's such an

I don't think anyone is saying that what Brandon did was ok. Obviously I think he should have been removed from the show.

Well that's a bit dramatic.

What gets me though is that he just said "they can vote me out" and not "or take me to the end because they know no one will vote for delusional ass". Now he'll probably get to the end and think he deserves all the credit and not gain any knowledge or self awareness and that just drives me nuts.
