Woah now. I will agree that Under the Banner of Heaven didn't have the same centeral narrative fueling it, but I found that book FACSINATING. I was hooked into it from start to finish, and even if it lacked the driving force of his other books, i don't really find the comparison fair. He's allowed to write two

Whoops, this was supposed to go on the thread below.

Children of Men-Holy sweet god that book was just flat out aweful. How they were ever able to wring such a good movie from it i'll never know, except the wise choice that the only thing that stays the same from book to movie is the setting. I was blown away by how amazingly shitty that book was.

You people who don't use the head set obviously do not play Left 4 Dead. Sometimes its painful, but communication and team work are key in that game, without those you're all zombie food. Sometimes it does get unbearable, but thats what the mute option is for.

This is ripe for parody! THIS IS RIPE!

One of the other housemates tragically sells her out to the Romans for thirty peices of silver. She is taken into their custody, tortured and hung on a cross for three days to die. She NEVER comes back.

RE 4 may have blazed that trail, but not really until after GoW did it become the ubiquitous go to for all 3rd party knock offs like it is now.

I was born and raised in Alaska. Wasilla is the place fun goes to die.

Actually, I'm pretty sure he gave Patton Oswalt props a few comments later on. Douche.

Also, phonetically, "rape."

Yeah… except thats really not what you said.

he should double post like you, he could double up on his pay.

I really liked the use of live instruments over samples and synthesizers(whatever) and it was a very interesting video, but I could ask a little more from the lyrics. I usually like something more than just a steady flow of vocals over the track, I like something I can actually listen to.

also! For a little bit (like two weeks) I dated this chick who's daughters name was Eyonah. They were white. When I asked her how the hell she chose Eyonah, she tole me "I just thought it sounded pretty." Later I learned that she had chosen the name by pulling tiles out of a scrabble pouch and arranging them
