It seems that just one guy does that site and that he makes giant playlists and updates them frequently. I've heard a few songs more than once even though it can be hard to tell. I just click on whatever "station" and it seems to play something web radio-ish instead of those various media players.

I vote for animated rather than live action. The tone of the original books lends itself to that medium better…crazy singing elves and dwarves and all into 1 long, lavishly drawn movie for kids that isn't striving for anything so boring as realism.
