Controversial choice here . . . but there is an argument to be made for it deserving the Oscar. I don't think it should have won (I'd have given the award to "The Thin Red Line") but the film is definitely underrated (just like "Saving Private Ryan" is overrated). Its got wonderful performances and it's lots of fun.
