I tried to word this above but you did it a lot more eloquently. Quentin has free reign to make these kinds of films. I wonder what the response would look like if Spike Lee, or another black film maker, made a slave-revenge fantasy film? Would the critical reception with open arms look the same?

I think that Lee's criticism is both invalid and valid.
