With all due respect..
With all due respect..
The madness of the Phili scene (from the trailer at least) got me excited for this film, so it's disappointing to read that most of the focus is on Pitt and the majority of the chaos is kept off-screen.
Is the first one even worth a good goddamn? Honest question, I haven't seen it and to me it looks like the soft rock version of Raimi's films (well, the first two).
Real as real, my friend. Quite a cutie, too, if I recall, just a really lousy teacher.
We also watched the horror movie, "Clownhouse," the one directed by a convicted child molester. The summer filmfest continued with the"Breakfast Club" and, for the irony I'm sure, "Summer School." I did not learn much Algebra that summer, as it turns out.
My 9th grade summer school teacher (fucking Algebra I, man) played Texas Chainsaw Massacre in class. What were you thinking, Ms. Cmok?!
I'm thinking we're going to get something similar to the books when it comes to Lady Stoneheart. That is LS is already entrenched in the Brotherhood, wearing a cloak and then BLAMMO dramatic reveal of her face. We don't need to see her resurrection, and it's not like we need to see Beric get written off the show.…
Having LS appear an episode after her death (the most dramatic and shocking death of the series, no less) would have taken away from the moment. Premiering her early next season (maybe end of Ep1 as Todd suggests) would still have oomph for non-readers.
Littlefinger/Sansa stuff will be next year, too. Really looking forward to that myself.
I'm wondering how the newbies took the Reek scene, as it did feel a little 'A to B' plotwise from my 'expert' standpoint.. They could have sat Theon out a bit, then come back to him next year as a man complete decimated, telling of his torture and re-naming through flashback.
I hope they don't go that route. It would be more powerful dramatically just to have Tyrion get collared immediately.
She kills the Tickler in a tavern, stabbing him again and again while "interrogating" him as he did his victims.
Yeah I saw you got flagged over there. I understand not liking spoilers, but the sensitivity of non-readers is a bit OTT to say the least.
I didn't understand that myself. "The Lannisters send their regards" makes much more sense.
Funny how they made a big deal about whether Faabio was going to return to Dany's camp or not. I sort of saw the point from the perspective of Dany's (and possibly Jorah's) character but did not think it necessitated a dramatic reveal.
I'm trying to work and have been reading this massively entertaining crap all day myself. Always love a good react video for this kind of stuff, and I'm sure more will be flooding in.
Has Frey ever exhibit murdering bastard behavior before, though? Peevish and prickly and late to battle, yes, but never this depth of vileness and duplicity. He's in league w/ guys who'd go that route, but I don't blame Robb or Cat for not seeing their doom coming.
No PW next week, I'd be very surprised to see it. We haven't even been introduced to the Red Viper yet. I'll go w/ consensus that we'll see Joff's wedding mid-point next year.
She still looks near her portrayed age, much more so than Bran and Sansa at least. IMO
Very nasty..her death was harsher than the throat cuttings or Robb's demise. It was just so damn personal and intimate somehow. Gah.
