Agreed. Outside the racial aspect, the memeification of Ramsey belittles his actions. This has a "for the lulz" feel and it does not sit right with me.
One of my all-time faves. It dips into the darker side of the Simpsons' cynical core, but the biting humor of the show is what makes it a classic. The Grimes ep is just a little bitier than usual.
I have no doubt Varys is cooking his own plans to "serve the realm" as he puts it. Whether those aims are for good or ill remain to be seen.
Olenna can bandy words with anyone. My favorite addition this year by a good amount.
They sure are talking up the royal wedding, but I'd be very surprised if we got to that this year. As someone else just pointed out, Sansa and Tyrion are not even married yet. Nor do I see two the season ending w/ major events happening at 2 weddings, even if the book has a similar set-up. HBO's gonna let it stew…
SPOILERS
I'm not a fan of watching the torture, but it serves as a bridge for Theon's character development, which otherwise would be sitting on the sidelines for a good while if HBO went by the books. The guy playing Ramsay is nailing that character's gleeful sadism, too.
He said 'fringed sleeves." Regardless the man knows his fashion.
Roose's coldness and detachment are very apparent, now that the character is getting more screen time.
"Because this time, it's different."
I liked the Dontos stuff, but that would've been one extra step to get to LF's involvement, and probably an unnecessary one as far as the show's concerned.
Here something from her Wiki to further stoke your ardor. Check out the name of that castle!
We're not fancy here, CaptainFUN. Ygritte is way hot, so no need for the caveat. Plus there was some man ass and bulbous bits on display, too, so every viewer with every predilection got some action this week!
Ned found Jaime on the Iron Throne w/ a dead king on his feet To Mr. Honorable that was a big no-no,
I don't think Jorah much liked Barristan's suggestion that he leave Dany once they got to Westeros, as Jorah didn't have the greatest rep in the Seven Kingdoms.
Two lines I was was hoping would come over from the books, but didn't:
Tyrion after he was through talking to Lady Olenna: "I'm starting to think her husband rode over that cliff on purpose." Pod was standing right there! It would have been the perfect line to end the scene.
Her hair is winter fire, January embers, my heart burns there, too, or something like that.
Yeah I thought the grade was fair myself. The ending in particular seemed very abrupt to me, although that also speaks to the strength of that last scene, i suppose.
I don't remember the exact line, but he was chastising Brienne for Renly's death, pretty much calling her a lousy protector as she allowed Locke to chop off his his (Jaime's) hand.
