I think it's been covered since the Nixon administration—but for 18 minutes or whatever…

I think it's a learned complacency. As much as I remember the Falcons beating the Packers at home in the playoffs and ending the era of invincible Brett Favre, my childhood was too scarred by the Dallas Cowboys to ever forgive them. I certainly hope this isn't a lesson unlearn this weekend…but it has that potential.

They're also in the heart of college football country.

Enjoy the off-season!

That wasn't the officials. That was nine misfortunes/instances of incompetence.

It's not enough that the Patriots are incredibly successful. In their fan's minds, they also have to be persecuted too.

Exactly 20 years after the last time Green Bay beat New England in the Super Bowl?! CREEPY!

I know what you mean—if Davonte Adams wasn't being held then how the fuck did his jersey end up like that? Good thing they didn't affect the outcome of the game.

If what I've learned from professional sports is correct, Houston also boasts an impressive strip club scene.

Yeah well those calls were fucking bullshit, and Seattle fucking knows it!

Injuries have been hard on an already depleted defense and the Packers receiving corps. And on paper, didn't the Packers match up to Dallas (run O v. run D) better than they do to Atlanta (passing O and, uh, Gunter)?

And that Packers defense is godawful!

Well, I'm all for people following their bliss irrespective of public opinion. Thanks for being cool about this venting. The Gap is going down pretty easy. Reminds me of The Books (or maybe it just reminds me of when I listened to The Books a lot, and also lived with a big Kinsella fan).

No kidding. The defining characteristic of the Seahawks until, like five years ago, was that they were the team that could move from the AFC to the NFC without anyone giving a shit.

So…like they've liked the Packers for potentially decades (during which there were losing seasons and four different coaches)….That's…not being a bandwagon fan. That's just being a fan.

I feel like being alienating and unlikeable is their whole MO. Like, I liked that whole post-rock-meets-emo-Jade Tree scene quite a bit, but I've always hated the Kinsellas with the fury of a thousand suns, which is to say, at least as much as they seem to hate their audience.

I was struck watching this game that the reason I hate the Cowboys is now 22 years old—I mean, there was all of Dallas's success which was bad enough, but I never got over the 1995 NFC championship game, which happened so long ago that it featured a young Brett Favre and players who had actually played for Tom Landry

If they have the flu then the Steelers may actually be happy about solidity vs. their runs.

Brah, if you didn't already know he was a corporate friendly technocrat, I don't know what to tell you.

A Space for Packers Fans
Well fam, the NFC championship game.
