Fair enough, my man. Didn't mean to take this conversational turn. #WhovianYou'reAlrightWithMe

I hold no illusions that other football players and coaches are bastions of progressive thought, but c'mon: Tom Brady had a "Make America Great Again" hat and Bill Belichek wrote him a letter.

I would feel bad for all the people who are younger than us who have to put up with this shit, but then I remembered: 1. If we learn anything from Forrest Gump it's that spraying your nostalgia all over younger people is your right for aging and 2. the kids are awful and already nostalgic for Spongebob or whatever.

I can't believe it got "animal migration" (a bunch of those "m" looking birds) but couldn't get a pretty obvious airplane. But now I feel like the roborevolution is further off….

By 2020, Kanye is going to be Pence's VP.

Right? Most football announcers suck. At least Madden was having the time of his life.

Yes, Whovian, everyone who isn't constantly praising the Pats sucks and is a hater.

John Madden was such a fact of football that I never considered whether or not I liked what he did. He was just color commentary, and his pairing with Pat Summerall was just what football was.

I didn't realize that JG was so divisive (my thoughts: I like Jake Gyllenhaal but it's not like I'm not going to see that sad-man movie he made with Naomi Watts) but according to the argument that broke out among my friends at the bar the other night, he is.

The basis of the fashion industry is a shared lie. Who cares?

My head's feeling pretty fucked with already by this paragraph:

Hurray! Something I remember from being a child! Being discussed on THE INTERNET no less!

Okay, well as long as he had good intentions….

Here's a letter that appeared in Harper's this month:

How many of the characters are based on people of color? Do the concerns of the POC of the era get addressed?

Because what he created is 1. expensive, 2. exclusive, 3. located in Manhattan 4. beloved by wealthy clueless liberals 5. a thin veneer of "cool" over a whitewashed history lesson
