It bears mentioning—due entirely to sheer absurdity—that Voyager's pilot episode had a bigger budget than "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" and virtually on par with "Star Trek III The Search for Spock," due in no small part to the fact that they changed Kate Mulgrew's hairstyle partway through filming and had to

I'd recommend it. I switched to Stargate (SG-1, and later Atlantis) after Enterprise was cancelled. It doesn't take itself as seriously as Trek (or even Farscape), but it's good, clean sci-fi fun. With the exception of Universe, which was heavily serialized, the other Stargate shows play out a lot like Deep Space Nine

In "Twilight" they blow up the Enterprise in the alternate future. They also blew up another Enterprise-type ship in the mirror universe episode, and trashed it pretty bad in "Azati Prime."

I'll be curious to see what Zack thinks about the later episodes, starting with "Family Business" in this season., and what he'll think about the presentation of Quark & the Ferengi after that.

All I have to say is that the Bajoran episodes get MUCH better starting in Season 5. I mean Rapture, The Assignment, Reckoning, Tears, Image, Shadows, the whole final arc.
