As much as I understand how they needed to go in a different direction to keep the franchise alive, I'm happy that TMP exists. V'ger is an amazing concept (and I still love its reveal at the end), Decker and Ilia fit into the cast well, and even the character development is better than it's credited for being. This

Maybe they'd finally be able to explain where that heavenly groin light in the autopsy lab comes from…

Shatner is fun as a concept, but Nimoy was always more of a kindred spirit to me personally. I'm not big on wanting to meet celebrities, but I always wanted the chance to shake his chance and thank him for being him.

Why do you hate rich people hovering above the Earth? Anyway, liberals like living in squalor…

It wasn't great, but "fucked up" is a stretch. Still better than the trailer to Chappie.

Kick is pretty much perfect from beginning to end, but like others here have said, they started to drop off after that. They still had their moments, though. "Beautiful Girl" should have been a much bigger hit than it was.

I wish it was my first concert. They played in Portland in the spring of 1988 and it seemed like half of my middle school were wearing the t-shirts the next day.

I've seen them twice. The first time was at our county fair in 2000, and it's still one of the best concerts I've ever seen by anybody. They blew most of the younger bands I've seen off the stage.

You're quoting it wrong. It goes, "This. Next one. Is. The first song. On our. New. Album."

Man, that evil hypnotist from Agent Carter got his own movie really fast…

Don't worry. I'm sure that Dottie will be coming back each and every week in exciting and sexy new ways.

*screams something incomprehensible from a Russian mountaintop*

I know that III has its' defenders, but Rocky, Rocky II, and Rocky Balboa works as a really nice trilogy all on its own. Don't really see much need for more.

Now here's something we hope you really like!

Badass Digest is something that actually exists. Learned something new today.

Most of what I've read of King doesn't do much for me, but On Writing is fantastic. Part of me still thinks that a fantastic teacher was lost to the world with the success of Carrie…

For all of his dickheadedness, I still have to respect Hitchens. He was clearly gifted at pissing off the right people.

What about Raul Julia in Street Fighter?

Based of what Savage implies, cute and understanding sex workers must be as common as air in Seattle.

Dan Savage takes the easy way out? Like all those times he turned over his column to some random author/therapist was hard work for him…
