Getting very close to finishing my Prom song. I found that the mix sounded fine in my car, fine on better headphones, but when I tried it with the earbuds, the bass sounded really overwhelming. After playing with volumes and eq-ing the bass, I think I figured out the problem.
When a note is held on the bass for a

James Spader and Maggie Gylenhall in Secretary.

On no! Promotheus!

Please. My point was that most (not all) people understood that their racist thoughts and tendencies were faults, and that they didn't feel a need to propagate these ideas. The longer this approach was in place, there would be a gradual reduction in racial problems.

Oh, it isn't about that at all.
Once people have been taught that this is acceptable behavior, it takes a few generations for this sort of thing to die off. Think of how many racist grandparents you've known. Two or three generations of children cringing should bring us back to normal.

My estimation is that it will take a minimum of two generations to get back to where we were.

My own contribution to the insanity of this election season was my cover of I Am the Walrus, which incorporates chunks of primary season audio over an ending - a nice mix of how crazy it all was.

And that's the story that I'M working on.

I bought White Night on sale on Xbox One. I've only gotten into the second sequence, and I wound up dying unexpectedly.
After looking it up, I finally got a sense of the basic mechanic of the game - that you have to figure out how to light a room before you can safely go into it.

I normally would agree with you… but it requires a long process of making people realize that these aren't things they want to hand down. Trump has made these things into sources of pride, and that will take a very, very long time to correct, in spite of her victory.

Both movies that I saw online, then bought.
I never considered Splinter as a zombie-style story - I felt like it was more like a feature-length X-Files episode that borrowed a little of The Thing.

"So you liked that I made your favorite superhero a heroin addicted jazz critic who's not radioactive?"

The season is an origin story! Why does everything need everything to be tied up? The point is to move Luke from where he is at the beginning to where he is at the end. The villain is mostly irrelevant to that, with the exception that he inspires Cage to move forward.
Same goes for Misty Knight's gradual movement

This summer, my wife was off on the west coast for an internship, and I was at home. I went to a few movies, including The Conjuring 2.
I honestly don't think much of the movie.
But I did find the experience of watching it by myself, in a sparsely populated theater, far more tense than I expected.

I remember getting kind of excited to see this when I heard about the "controversy" surrounding it. And the premise of a killer going after virgins was a fun one.
Except… the movie doesn't exactly support that conclusion. Beyond the direction the plot goes, the characters reach that speculation without much to go on.

I think I'm the only person I've known who non-ironically likes Herman's Hermits. And I'm about… 30 years younger than their other fans. Wooo! Peter Noone!

I was much more impressed with Unfriended than I expected to be.

I didn't think much as I was watching it, since the plot is secondary to the oddities of the mannequins, as well as the surprisingly interesting shots of things flying around. It's fairly obvious how they accomplished those effects, but there's something very pleasing about watching them.

I've generally liked them, although The Marked Ones seemed sort of irrelevant - but it didn't bother me.
I found Ghost Dimension to be a hard watch, since they had a pretty good hook - the videos connecting to present events. But then they managed to switch over to almost exclusively hand-held footage, which

I only vaguely remember the most sparse elements of these movies. I remember
1 - lots of tight shirts and cleavage.
2 - the killer couldn't feel pain? Or something like that.
