I just want to say this about Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead - and it particularly applies to Hot Fuzz -  these movies need to be seen more than once.
I saw both in the theater the first time.  And both times, I enjoyed them, but I didn't think they were spectacular.  It took a few more viewings to realize how

I think it must have been around the Halloween of 5th grade or so, that I dressed up as Vasquez from Aliens.
I had gotten into the movie the prior summer, and watched it on and off, almost every night over the summer.  And in my 5th-grade-mind, Vasquez was awesome.
This was a homemade costume, stuff that I cobbled

I don't think I've ever seen anyone else called Jordo.  As someone named Jordan, was it a popular nickname?

Who can make this happen?  This needs to happen.  I'd buy a few copies of that album, and probably gift a few copies as well.

I had never considered that Mr. Popeil was supposed to sound like B-52's, but now I won't be able to ignore that.

Four O'Clock is actually still very relevant.  I follow what happens on Conservapedia for laughs, and some of those people are exactly the same types of cranks.  One of them has been known to track down the employers of people who satirically edit Conservapedia, call their bosses, and complain.
And the apparent

While I avoided my 10 year reunion (already three years ago?) I don't think that your reasons for avoiding it are really valid.
Achieving life milestones are interesting, but the truth is that they're only important to the person they happen to.  I couldn't care less if my high school peers have gotten married or had

My embarrassing adolescent story, which ties closely in with this show.

I remember when I first read the article this one references, I was really puzzled.  I knew nothing of the author, but it came across like it was satire of the type of band-hate that I never understand.
There's some stuff I love that never gets any respect.  I take Weird Al seriously.  I still enjoy Hootie.  And I'm a

I would suggest 6/24/12, but I've found that Phish tastes are very subjective.  I'm one of the fans who likes it when their jams top out at around 15 minutes, and I enjoy the softer stuff, or even stuff like Jennifer Dances.

I can't speak about the quality of the Phish bio book, but I can say that I believe the last three years to be the best quality playing Phish has done.  They're far less sloppy, they're listening to each other.  The new songs aren't as great as they should be, but the performances are generally great.

Am I the only one who thinks that Weird Al looks a little like Tommy Wiseau?  You know, he should really make a song about The Room.

I didn't mind Severance.  I didn't think too much of it.  But Triangle is absolutely fantastic.  I've watched it about four or five times, and it's handled perfectly.  I remember people saying that it was a ripoff of Time Crimes, but that's absurd.  Time Crimes had a character that was dumb enough that he was trying

I'm surprised there was no mention of the dead crawling on ceilings in the Day of the Dead remake.

I think it's amazing that this article isn't dripping with contempt for Joel's work.
I think An Innocent Man is one of the most unified works that he put together, and it's remarkable that the songs work well both as singles and as part of an album.

I add my praise for this movie.  There aren't many made like this.  A kid's horror movie that respects the kids.
