Yeah, big love for them, but they don't work in 2 1/2 minute bursts (if the physics of some of the other posters are correct).

I triple-check the Dayvan Cowboys.

Was the grenade hanging on the lampshade an obvious joke that didn't need to be explained?

Luxury Yacht, you mean *doesn't get* the Greek joke, right?

No love for the McIntosh?

Agreed on the shooting; I was tense that Peter (much more practical) was going to break the connection by plugging the old lady. No life, no love, no vortex. Or heck, Broyles might have ordered it. And it would bring up all sorts of juicy moral issues just like our Walter was worried about.

I've learned just to be happy with the writing and the characters.

Can I recognize him as Kal Penn?

Usually you shave it to reduce the bushiness.
At least go for a landing strip.

Ooh, ooh, Mad Libs!

Okay, Matter Eater Chang got an actual chuckle out of me.

I dunno, Hulu just makes it . . . easier. Less rooting around in multiple garbage heaps.

Excellent!

As for GY!BE up there going to Tokyo, I hate you on many levels, but would like you to know that I fit conveniently in overhead compartments *and* have strong elbows and excellent concert navigation skills.

Dwayne, I love Black Moth Super Rainbow - there's another band here in Austin, The Octopus Project, that put out an album with them as "The Black Octopus Lipstick Project" or something. I was a fan of Octopus Project (very high energy fun electronic) and so I started following BMSR.

Erik, you can always tell then that EitS is from Austin. That gives them more validity . . . But actually, Explosions is the band, out of all these, that I've had the most "mainstream" luck with.

I pretty much jerk off to Constellation. I don't think I've picked up 1 Speed Bike, but all the rest . . . I think I like Fly Pan Am best.

Barry Hughart
Author of "The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox" - light Chinese fantasy/fairy tale. Another love of mine where have never met anyone face-to-face who even *knows* of the book.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor
As all said, you find others on the net who share your niche band/whatever. I know some here share this with me.

Oh, c'mon, you just need better friends. Or you need to drag them to a concert.
