I liked Critters. That was the little fuzzy Pac-Man-ish things, right?

No matter what else is said, I commend you all for your bravery in going first.

Non-AVClub comment sections just leave me so weary.

How did you pick who got what? It felt somewhat arbitrary; none of you seemed more "expert" at Mac/Corman/Asylum than the other, so that added to some of the perceived falseness.

Whoops, shoulda read this before I commented above.

Agreed - I actually prefer most of King's short stories.

*big-budget

No, Surrogates had an *awesome* premise. I got excited that there might finally a big-budge science-fiction movie with actual thought and implication.

I can't agree with ABTim.

Oh, wow - the first two were *awesome* (or at least I remember them being so). It was my first (and only) time in a shared world, and I thought it was pretty well done.

"TV Dinners" or "What Else Is On?" gets my vote.

The Eyes of the Beholder
Leftover Soup
Casper the Holy Ghost

Tiger! Shit! Tiger! Tiger! grabbed my attention

Uh, yeah, sorry DPA, but this thread itself seems like useless troll food.

I never watched any of the Stargates (beyond the movie); I was vaguely aware of them and some of the mythology of the show, but . . . eh.

*lose it.

Eureka could easily fit in with any of the USA brand shows so beloved on the boards.

Chiming in way too late on this, but as a long-time Dallas resident, they are using a *lot* of downtown Dallas areas - as noted above. The local indie blog has a column about where the latest explosion is, etc, etc.

That shit disturbed me like Kirby.

Going further back in time …
I've had related annoying experiences with non-pop-culture-nerd friends.
