On my commuter train a few months ago the conductor came over the intercom to say "End of the line, everybody out." Then after half a beat he added, "Next stop… Willoughby!" It made me smile.

Nice feature
I like this inventory. I think you should consider making it a separate feature. A lot of our best songwriters take a similar short-story approach in their songs, and a feature highlighting the characters created by Dylan, Waits, Springsteen, Lovett, etc. could be fun and informative.

But does Ali Sheedy use her original name of Cassius Clay?

Bronsonman, you had a good joke. But humor does not survive when you start trying to explain it.

Not really, but there really were boobs exposed in The Rescuers.

I was disappointed to discover "The Trip to Bountiful" had nothing to do with paper towels.

Route 23
In the summer of 1988, Dwight Yoakam played the Ohio State Fair. At one point during the show the Governor of Ohio came on stage to give a Yoakam a complementary Route 23 highway sign to honor his success, and in thanks for bringing attention to that part of the country.

Don't worry about other people, Kyle.

You cannot conclude someone is not a natural performer just because one of the two shows you saw was bad. I'm sure Springsteen and James Brown put on bad shows at some points in their careers.

"I'd say it's even better than Spock's Brain."

You make a good point, but a new viewer won't go wrong with either one.

2oo2?
This album was released in 1999.

The AV Club staff doesn't like firsties, but I bet they feel culturally obligated to see if someone got one.

thumbs up, Nabes
This is a nicely balanced article. You acknowledge the limitations of Wells' body of work while still honoring her historical achievement. Communicating that balance is not easy.

I was a Springsteen fanatic since high school and I needed every scrap of music he recorded.

What endurance!
Clifton was supposed to be an older guy when we were introduced to him in the '70s. He must be about 95 by now. That's some show to put on for a guy that age.

President Marshall was a replicant as well in the directors cut of Air Force One.
