I feel like this idea of "C+ = slightly above average" is not actually how most TV Club reviewers grade in practice, though. Like, for a show of the quality of Bitch 23, it seems like an "average" episode tends to get something like a B or B+. I'm in favor of grade deflation, but people are going to bitch about it.
