I think showing them the movie is worth a shot. You have to start cultivating longer attention spans sometime. (Not that there's anything wrong with Looney Tunes, etc.)

The Last Unicorn I saw when I was three. Except for the bit with the tree, which was weird, it wasn't really that much darker than a lot of Disney. Slower paced though.

I'd waste less time on Netflix if when I found My List, I were then able to sort it somehow. If I only have time for a breezy 30 minute comedy, I don't want to click past a dozen 3 hour documentaries.

Something that has worked for me and a few others: get a Disqus account and log into the Disqus homepage while being logged into your usual account here. Presto notifications!

Not to mention there are a dozen kinds of software that make those comparisons specifically to check for plagiarism. And databases to search. My high school could manage this.
