It's pretty good. Not just for it's type; pretty good overall.

Riki! You have saved ALL OUR LIVES!
Sylvester was never at peace with his mixed color. I'll bet his son went through a nationalist phase in college though.
And all pussy is black in the dark.
Re: "Mowgli", given that it's the "multiple adaptations of a book" contribution, I suspect Tasha Robinson gave us that one.
Really liked the final shot of Holmes working the bag. Without any words (or an observer) you get his frustration, and the determination that led him both to become a detective and to fight without mercy. Brings home what an origin episode needs to: he may seem superhuman, but he only became that way because of his…
True story: back in the distant 80s when I first saw the movie "Colors", I thought the gang-bangers were calling each other "Holmes", in some sort of "No Shit Sherlock" way.
Seems to me that that guy needs some sort of actual criminal prosecution, even if it just results in a guilty-plea-suspended-sentence thing. It was an attempted fraud and who knows how many little crimes.
Yeah, this show is about due for Conan-Doylish complaint about how uncomplicated the common run of criminals is.
Would be really nice, if Sherlock has some future crisis that he can't talk to Watson about (probably because it would involve Watson), if he paid her a visit, even if it was just an episode-ending therapeutic one like Angel-visiting-Faith-in-prison that time.
I also liked that when Abigail wants Holmes to stay with her, we cut straight to Watson entering the station with just a minimum of explanation. We know exactly how this would have played out and don't need to see more.
Yeah, I was getting that "ah, hello other black person on a tv show" (to paraphrase from Tina on Glee) energy, along with the completely understandable "Please let me be the one to take her statement". Was just about as happy that nothing came of it, but if they handled a later revelation that they're now going out…
Her chemistry with Coulson is really improving. I was actually reminded of Faith & the Mayor during the final Van sanctuary scene (though obviously it'll never have the looney edge those two had).
Lots of interesting stuff, really, Caprica, Under The Dome, Treme, The Cape.
I really liked Thirteen, and thought the non-K-Stew parts of Twilight showed promise. Haven't seen Lords Of Dogtown but I've heard people defend it.
:(
I'm still adjusting to the realization that GODS & MONSTERS and KINSEY were made by the same guy. The first is so immersive and intriguing and the second…contains many useful and interesting facts.
Kinsey's question is: can you do it WITHOUT that?
Would have gone with Cumberbush, but you probably have it better.
All I've seen of her is Juno & Young Adult, and I liked the first and loved the second, so I'll always be curious what she has coming. (At the same time, this does sound pretty terrible.)
