They're not doing much to tip that this is more of a crime comedy than a straight-faced mobster movie. There's a bit in there, but if they live up to the tone of the book I'd say people won't be expecting exactly what they'll get.

It took a little while in because of the way the trailer is edited, but yes, this does live up to Assassination of Jesse James in the photography department, stunning. It looks like it'll be the best performance from Pitt since the last time he worked with Dominik as well.

When I said "at least", I meant that at least there's a few redeeming qualities to the movie, I wasn't using that as a way to let Jackson off the hook for how he handled it.

Owning the rights to James Bond & part of the rights to The Hobbit will keep it afloat, adrift, but afloat nonetheless.

A lot of the TV spots for Drive were cut to make it seem more in the vein of Fast Five than say a brooding fairly quiet ultra violent movie to draw in bigger audiences only to piss them off because they were either courting the wrong crowd with those ads, or the crowds they drew in at the very least didn't have the

Well to be fair, there's two protagonists whose inner torment swallows up all other characters in The Prestige, so there's a slight variation. ;-)

It seems like his house is very much on the outskirts of the city, and not in the urban area, and that the waterfall entrance to the Batcave is beyond that even, why can't that be his way back in?
Also, it's a fictional city, because it's name is the nickname for NYC and has a river/bay geography doesn't mean it's

I wasn't aware that Batman Begins was the first dark Hollywood movie of the past decade. A more believable domino effect you could point out is the Bourne series had more of an influence because so many franchises (even this one, hey!) went for a tactile, real feel in their action adventures after that.

I agree, TDK is tighter plotted, but now with the exception of the Dent story & Bruce's relationship with Rachel, it's episodic by comparison to the rest of the story with it's overall arc of the League of Shadows & Bruce's personality. It always bothered me that TDK reduced Bruce to a player in an ensemble when
