How about a franchise as a whole, rather than getting into the details of any of its individual properties?

And I'll take it a step further and say that anything Madeline Kahn ever did was perfect, full stop.

The type of documentary you mention is really the only type I enjoy.  I can watch Jiro Dreams of Sushi or Spellbound or Good Hair all day long, because in addition to offering facts about a topic I may not be very knowledgeable about, they're presented in an entertaining way.

Right, but that's the point, isn't it?  If it's all well and good for a critic to give Chasing Mavericks a D for being boring, is he or she allowed to give A Place at the Table a D for being boring, too?

Except The Long Walk is one of many King stories that refuses to give a concrete ending, so I'm curious as to what an adaptation would wedge in for closure.

One of my favorite things about the "___ Story" episodes was a glimpse of what J.D.'s little fantasy asides must look like to people who don't get to hear his inner monologue.
