Whenever someone asks me what my favorite movie is, I have to give them the standard "Well, I see so many, and there are so many different types that it's impossible to pick a single favorite," but I always make sure to add "But Memento is always in my top three."

I used to think I was immune to hype and capable of enjoying a movie as-is, but lately, I'm beginning to question that assessment. I went out and caught Cloud Atlas a week ago, before I saw all the middling reviews, and really liked it. Saturday, I saw Argo after reading about how wonderful it is, and found it…fine.

@avclub-525f76574b3a2a5bcb4da793c92a16fb:disqus - I went digging, and it appears to be real (at least according to all the news/politics sites that reported on it).
