I didn't mind its cynicism, but I guess I'd say my main complaint is that at the time the disparate storylines began to be/should have been woven together, they became more chaotic. Baby Jane is made all the more enjoyable if you read about the off-camera turmoil that took place around its filming. There may not be two actresses in history who loathed each other more than Davis and Crawford, and stories about their feud are addictive.
