This has happened before - this weird situation where chefs are asked to take an inspiration dish and make something new out of it, and are then chastised for not making a perfect copy of the original dish.
Not that I'm defending her (well…maybe a little), but I took that in the vein of her trying to avoid getting accused of backstabbing later.
Maybe she just watches a lot of Rachel Maddow, who also says that from time to time as a joke about old-fashioned people who aren't internet savvy.

This turned out to be a weekend of "meh". Saw The Muppets, which was good when taken on its own, but disappointing as part of the Muppet franchise.

It did. It's a decade later than Ally McBeal, and this time, the woman who can't handle bisexuality is a sex columnist in the most sophisticated city in America. And the audience is asked to identify with her "traditional values" on the matter. How far we've come. Or, you know… not.
Hopefully this doesn't create a critical vacuum, leading to a scenario in which Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz are allowed to return to the airwaves.

Calvin's constant battles with Rosalyn were one of my favorite parts of the series, but I had never seen the strip linked above where they play Calvinball together. It makes me love that relationship even more now.

I don't agree with Dan Savage about everything, but I do enjoy his position on NALTs (Not All Like That), which is basically, if you resent that stereotype, take it up with Tony Perkins, not the people who have just cause to treat all members of the religion with fear and suspicion.
