Good one, Columbo!

Actually just rewatched it for the first time in about 10 years recently. Beautiful, eerie film that holds up nicely, and I can appreciate more having seen La Jetee, Vertigo, and more of Gilliam's work.

Tree of Life, Inglorious Basterds, Burn After Reading, Jesse James and Moneyball are your idea of tailing off?

"That son of a bitch told me that I would a be Jedi master within three months. I

Season 4 and 5, while wildly uneven, were kind of underrated in my opinion. I know that for
some moving the location felt like a cheap reset for the series, but I
thought it was a ballsy move that actually helped it narrative
and thematically. There were plenty of seeds that paid off in the 6th season, and helped

Honestly, Season 6 was a high mark for the show and would have been a great way for it to go out - it also makes the 4th and 5th seasons somewhat better in retrospect. The way it came back in S7 definitely robbed it of its power a bit. (The only season I truly dislike is the 3rd)

The first 3rd or so, setting up the drab existence of the afterlife, is absolutely great. After that it kind of settles into a traditional road movie, and kind of falls apart in the end. Generally, though, a pretty decent film.

More like the Without Limits to its Prefontaine.

That was essentially why he left the industry. He claims that the last straw was when he worked on project for Disney that was turning out better than he could have imagined, only to have the whole thing scrapped midway.
