Ahem!  When I was that age, I dated an 18-year-old, which I am pretty sure my mother ruled against categorically.  Did it anyway.  I'm just saying, I don't think they should have allowed her to marry, but if they're conservative folk, they might prefer that she be married to, rather than just f**king him, given that

I can't claim to be an expert, but my take on that song was always that a boy dumped his girlfriend and she took a handful of Valuim and "slept" and now he feels guilty that she committed suicide.  I actually like that song a lot, so I would think I would have gotten what it was about, but then I had to be told about

Set and forget it and then remember to clean it afterwards would not have made such a good slogan, I don't think :)

How about "The Island" (Ostrov, in Russian).  No US theatrical release there, but it was still a good movie…

You didn't mention the Korean version, "Untold Scandal."  I was going to mention "Valmont" as well, but someone beat me to it.  I agree that there is a lot of interest to be derived from adapting the book, but really, how many adaptations of the same story can we stand?
That being said, I enjoyed Untold Scandal.  It

And depending on where you want to go with this, you could do Japanese originals with American remakes.  "Ju-On" and "Ringu" would seem to be good examples of this, but there certainly may be more.

If you'd like to watch something that is not awful, try "Lunopolis."  I watched it and couldn't understand why it didn't merit theatrical release.  If you are into foreign films, "R-Point" is a Korean Vietnam War/horror flick that I thought was intelligent and worked well.
At the other end of the spectrum, I don't

They work well, but are hard to clean and take up a lot of space, whether they are in use or not.  I used to have one, and we did use it, but we got rid of it before we moved…

It was the "I'm equally excited to see both of these acts" show.  I really didn't know how to feel.  By the time they got to SC, Garbage was famous enough that that Shirley didn't have any cause to say such a thing.  It was a great show by both bands as I recall (but that was a long time ago).

Alice in Chains opening for Van Halen???  Yeah, it makes Layne sound like a dick, but this whole setup is all kinds of wrong to me…

I'm older than you and I think my life was going OK when that song came out.  I certainly enjoyed a lot of what was on the radio.  But fucking "Save Tonight"!  Hello, I'd like to request a song about a douche being a douche in the douchiest way possible?  Can I get one that was in the Top 40 and completely unavoidable
