It's really interesting. Going back and watching the movie in comparisons to modern seasons make the film look so flat. The show is just so much more dynamic and visually interesting now.

It's not. Episodes can be hit or miss, and it doesn't try to be something with a big storyline or continuity like Steven Universe or Adventure Time, but as a pure comedy show it can be pretty funny at times. It's definitely a kid's show, but it's not bad.
I liked your comment for the first paragraph, though I disagree with the second. I think Sonic Boom is a fun show. Not the greatest, but certainly not bad. Sticks sucks, but Eggman more than makes up for it.
One difference is despite what he keeps saying Dikachu's cartoons are not for kids!
It honestly is a fun way to kill an hour. Watch it for the music and the locations (it really does have nice art) if nothing else.
Even more controversial is the one where Shadow became a vampire.
The Sonic OVA had some pretty funky music. "For the Land of the Sky", "Machinery", "From the Land of Darkness" and "Wrapping It Up" are all great tunes. "Sky" and "Darkness" are particularly jazzy and enjoyable.
Nothing about those raps were short.
I never did trust that Dr. Hibbert…
I don't know, "But I need it!" will never not be funny to me.
" So, essentially, we’re four levels and one entire series removed from anything in the episode actually happening or mattering in the slightest."
You jest, but if we did want to talk about the others (Liquid and Solidus) I'd say that Solidus probably comes closest after Solid to getting things right and having nobler goals.
Since the very start. Originally it was more in the style of Beavis and Butt-head - mocking how teenagers (or children in the case of SP) are perceived and how they really are - but even as early as the second the show was tackling issues of consumerism, while mocking celebrities, and the third episode was a direct…
"It's definitely a spiritual successor to Futurama."
"The movies either drag in the middle, or feel disjointed[.]"
Same exact voice too. Hell, Amy is basically Connie's voice just aged up slightly.
As far as I'm concerned they're part of the last season on Fox, (Officially season 10, actually season 9.) and just aired a bit later.
Well, they did keep coming back. So probably.
It's really even hard to say that Seth is even involved with Family Guy much anymore. He's pretty much a Oscars host / movie star / director these days.
Seasons 3 and 4 of Cleveland aren't half bad. Season 1 (especially the first half) was pretty rough, though.
