Considering that we still got episodes like "The Late Philip J. Fry" and "Meanwhile" after the films, considering the show peaked with Beast is outrageous.
You know, the fantasy stuff isn't even all that bad, but it goes on for too long.
Thank you. I don't know why Bender's Game gets such high praise from some people, but for me it's easily the worst.
This show needs ratings like Lisa Dylan needs leg braces. (Pretend I'm making this joke after the second episode aired.)
Alexis may have a (purposely) annoying voice, but I like that somehow she became the show's sanest character. Only by a hair, but between her trying to stop Dylan from ruining the winter play a few weeks back (the town needs the revenue!) and trying to prevent her mom from getting Gia'd she's the closest the show has…
That would also mirror how Anakin felt about her, as he saw her as a "disappointment" and viewed her leaving the Jedi as a form of betrayal, as discussed in that unfinished Clone Wars crystal arc from last year.
Man, I was so disappointed in the unfinished Clone Wars episodes where Obi-Wan and Anakin had to steal the kyber crystal from Grievous.
"Ki-ya bantha fodder!"
Vader to use his body to seal the gateway to the force, thus preventing Palpatine from using it… Except Palpatine uses it anyway, thus making Vader's sacrifice meaningless.
I'm not so sure they would want to deal with Ahsoka anyway, considering she abandoned the Jedi Order. Despite being mostly wiped out, and them being the only remaining members of the council (unless you count Anakin) they still seem to pretty much believe in the old Jedi ways, more or less.
I know Star Wars likes to recycle itself, but I hope they end up being a little more clever than that.
It really is a weird show. I fear that it's too weird. Don't get me wrong, I love it, and it's a good replacement for the lost zaniness that was American Dad!, but at least AD! seemed more grounded. Golan is just really out there.
Hilarious!
I do think Plaza does a pretty good job overall, and sounds pretty similar to the original voice actress, but I agree, the change was completely unnecessary. It seems like they got Plaza because that's the type of character she's typecast as ("dark" types) and then told her to mimic the original performance from…
Like any man faced with the choice of shooing himself in the chest and dying, or shooting himself in the balls and living, he made the choice any of us would have made.
But why now? Why not twenty years ago?
Yes, but then you have to hear people say "I got a vaccination for this?!*"
I call this the Community effect. You can see it in the review and comment section for the finale of Community season 4.
Perhaps it's because I had little hopes for the Family Guy crossover that I was pleasantly surprised, while I had higher hopes for the Futurama crossover, but was left disappointed.
