The line about Bart being eager to "help a demon" but being less interested in the puberty aspect was good, too.

I don't know, Palpatine actually did things. Even going back to Empire Strikes Back we see him playing mind games with Vader, letting him think that turning Luke to the dark side is his idea, even though it's what Palpatine wants.
