Yup. The story is clunky, but its something different. There's a lot of jokes I like: e.g "Eat my short stories" or "Seems like once the 70's hit all I did was shoot hippies."

They did that ending in Repo Men and it was an unbelievably hollow ending. Maybe it could have worked, but takeback endings like that usually don't work.
