Well, that dream is over. At least we still have each other. Right, honey? Honey? [Howling ]

I've never even heard of it.

Exactly. Stereotypes and cliches are constantly used in even the best pieces of fiction because of the power they hold. They can be crafted into something positive or negative depending on the care and talent of who is doing the crafting and what purpose they want to achieve. Apu, other than his broad accent and

I hate to bring out the Adolf Hitler card on the internet, but…

I personally find this one slightly better because there is no Kidd Rock, but I still like most of Kill the Alligator and Run

I have to disagree with you. The character designs are very creative and funny. Also, the show has flights of fancy enough times throughout the seasons that I would say the visuals are very good. I like the first seasons drug trip and the second seasons trip back to Hollywoo from New Mexico

Such a great episode. Really a high mark for the post-golden era simpsons. Personally, there is no bad Swartzwelder episode because his absurd humor is always fringed to a very strong core of character interactions that dig deeper into their relationships.

Sounds like somebody belongs over at alt.nerd.obsessive

I think the B is for the things it does correct and the potential for growth in the next episodes. Personally the humanity of the show is pretty grounded which is such a surprise because it looked like such a Family Guy ripoff.

It seems particularly strange to me that they would go with such a modern art style, clearly computer generated with no real flourishes of artistic intent, instead of something paying an homage to the animation style of the era: eg fritz the cat or scooby-doo.

Hmm, I guess I expected Netflix not to run a tight budget on its shows. You might be right. Depending on how popular the series is we'll hear if it'll be renewed within a week or two.

The first episode was much better than that horrible trailer made it out to be. If the series can focus on the little nuances with Burr's rage I think they might actually make the series worth watching in the long run.

I think we're focusing on different aspects of the same product because you are right as am I.

Advertising was about awareness, idiotking. Yes, the end goals of both methods are the same, but the way they achieve this has changed. Instead of seeing an ad, it's forcing you to view it, its tricking the audience into thinking its something that it's not.

There's supposed to be a question mark there.

But those figurines are the content you are going after. Imagine if when you bought the game and extras every time you loaded it up there was prompt for you to go buy more! That's basically what sponsored content is.

Dude, you're using some seriously messed up double standards. I'm done talking to you.

"For the record, every site I write for runs ads or publishes sponsored
content (usually both), so I understand it’s just the name of the game
these days. And as readers, we’re all just as responsible for its existence as the media outlets who publish it."

That's basically how I picture Russian global politics now.

The premise of this article isn't bad: yes, the Star Wars prequels shouldn't be hated in such an extreme fashion. They are still technically well made in the sense that they're a product of Hollywood polished shine. But you cannot ignore the clucky, often offensive, writing, the poorly paced non-action scenes, the bad
