I actually have seen all the episodes and specials (still have em on my media HDD I think).  Personally I find the earlier episodes more practical, and the low point in the series is something like the 10th season where he spends 2 episodes on water, one of the freezer and one on knives… and still doesn't say much…

I quite liked good eats, although he did have a tendency towards impracticality, repetition and bad humor a bit too often.

I remember a German store where I built a really nice gingerbread house during the holidays with our Austrian and Hungarian friends, that was really fun although it closed 15+ years ago.  I don't think it was Irvine, seemed more like Tustin / Orange.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole dead women subplot is going to be used as a way for Brody to get some revenge against Walden without having to kill him and/or a way for him to not get the VP nomination.

I think the they should mimic the Hank scene shot for shot, except make it a BBQ and LaGuerta on a porta-potty.
