I actually agree from a realism perspective it is silly.  It would perhaps make sense if the show was centered in Brooklyn.

I actually kind of like the mob because its more believable than yet another serial killer comes to Miami to be killed by Dexter.  The mob is practical and quickly got wind of Dexter in a relatively believable way, despite being a pretty cliched presence.

Dexter has always had a kind of flimsy premise, that only gets flimsier and sillier with each passing season.  MCH is what sells the show and when they can have fun with him and have an interesting / convincing arc the show is at it's best.

Honestly I thought Burning Love was a much more enjoyable episode.  Certainly it was a step down after the other episodes, but it's still one I have fun with on repeated viewings and had some really good stuff in it.

For some reason I imagine her assistant is basically Kif from futurama.

And why can't I spend $25 to get access to stream the entire series?  If they gave me that option I absolutely would use it.

The thing is there are many people who don't want to clutter up their houses with DVD sets, nor want to pay $100/month for cable that I don't get anymore.  However I'd be more than happy to support the developers of quality content.

I've been digging the hell out of these write ups this season, so anything to keep up the quality is worth it.

When was the last time the word Penis was in the title of a TV episode?

It definitely was more of a general joke and not intended to be a riff of Kony.

Ya I used to be a Daily Show man, but over the last year or so I've realized I look forward more to Colbert than Stewart.  Colbert's start was quite a bit rockier and experimental, but he's really hit his stride and there's rarely a bad episode (although the shows where he has two guests still annoy me a bit, his bits

While I agree with most of what you said, I disagree about the ending.  Even if it didn't make the most sense, it was at least a promise of a more entertaining show.  And at this point in the show's life that' about the best I can hope for.

It could also be that the kid just stole the cigarette thinking it was drugs, with no real culprit or the fact that he's just sick and its a coincidence.
