wearing a $60,000 piece of jewelry is the most embarrassing thing I can think of

That comment seem to be at the top of every Kathryn Bigelow thread, which is a shame because it seems to generally be more backlash about the hype surrounding the movie (and the icky feeling of post-9/11 Hollywood at the time) than anything specific to the film.

no shame in that. I definitely feel like we're in some sort of cartoon golden age right now. to miss out just because "animation is for kids" or something would be downright embarrassing.

for me this was def one of the most laugh out loud regular show eps in recent memory. i really like that a show so steeped in the wacky, fantastical and bizarre has some of its strongest comedic moments just navigating little relationship bits and pieces.

i thought the 2 videos at the end were well worth the lead up, both completely surpassed expectation. i could totally see the ep as being "necessary rewatch" material.

thats the weird part. you just know that the hippy professor would LOVE that crap. i was really waiting for him to make an appearance at the end.

yes! i would say that I held onto that delusion until… well, this evening, when the nets got stomped and KG didnt score a single point :(

As a Boston resident and general sports fan, I have to elaborate a bit. Most of these Bruins assholes are suburban scum that ship in on the trains for games, start fights and vomit over everything, then ship back out to New Bedford or Chelsea. Suggesting that this is a Boston issue would be like blaming NYC for Long

As a Celtic's fan, Clips have grudgingly been my west-coast team since Doc moved there last season, and DAMN have I been in for a treat. Sterling nonsense aside, these playoffs have been incredible. The Warriors series was mega intense and now last night's blowout over the Thunder? I'm not even that invested and this

i really enjoyed this episode. for me it was as unpredictable as it was well acted. i was never really on board with the Elementary version of Mycroft, but this reveal is so much fun, especially as it sets him up as potentially being a legitimate rival for Sherlock. Having been able to successfully keep his true role

personally, i find the lack of "back story" to be one of the shows strongest qualities. there are enough tantalizing hits sprinkled through the landscape that, much like early adventure time, we know SOMETHING is there.

well his letter was nice at least

so you are saying adventure time / parks and rec crossover? in2it

uh, I think you misspelled "Sisko"

there is something really nice about this show that i cant quite put my finger on. elsewhere in the thread the word "understated" is used a bit, and that perhaps describes it, but its just feels very "different": conversations often happen quietly in near whisper; huge amounts of intricate, un-rushed dialogue that

i also liked how she didnt even really have some big justification for wanting to go after the boss either. she was crossing the line a bit, knew it, knew she was sort of in the wrong for it, still did it, and it turned out to sort of be nothing. but you also knew she would do it again if it came down to it. the whole

yo seriously that was some unprompted aggressive assholery. im glad you were able to find an understanding, but attacking a person simply for sharing a perspective like that is just nasty. And you see this exact thing happen whenever a woman shares a story like this in an online discussion: rather than actually read

Damar laughing at the freshly snapped neck of Weyoun is, in my opinion, the most laugh out loud funny scene in the whole series. Ill forgive the whole Worf/Ezri subplot for that moment.

im so stoked on this doc. but also im not-so-secretly hoping that all this chatter leads to a DUNE reboot, because HOLY FUCK could that be done well now.

Wow! Norm MacDonald giving Bret Easton Ellis a full-on twitter lambasing over a Canadian short story author. Not something I ever would have expected to read, but im glad that I did.
