theyve been doing blade runner homages in basically every episode. the noodle bars in the first few, origami cranes in Kennex's apartment, etc. obviously intentional and fun to look for!

<—- went to school with Annie. and yes, I will be doing my reddit AMA soon.
dont you take away my regular show reviews you cold-hearted bastards
damn, man
i would say "strange hybrid of formats jammed in" perfectly describes Jimmy Fallon or any of these modern late night shows.
well, shes not wrong…
for what its worth, i completely disagree. im totally a sucker for cheesy sci-fi, and this is like Dark Angel meets Johnny Mnemonic meets Blade Runner meets every 90s cyberpunk show AKA my favorite show on television right now.
man, i am loving this show. it's like the lame late-90s sci-Fi I didn't even know I was missing but totally was, complete with: super cheesy hacking scenes, fake underground laser raves, cliche cyberpunk wigs, Johnny Mnemonic hidden flashback memory stuff, hologram gunfight scenes, emo androids, LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
considering I'm an OF fan and live in Boston, you'd think I'd have heard of this apparently internationally known "riot" of 2011. huh.
i may be in the minority here, but i absolutely loved this episode. my criticism of the show early on was that it wasn't much more than a random procedural with blue LED's attached, but these past few eps have ramped up the world-building and sci-fi weirdness to great effect. this cold open with the hallucinations and…
well… lets be a LITTLE realistic here
Eh, its easy to make Drake out to be a douche in this, but if Rolling Stone offered him the cover in exchange for a big exclusive and then backed out of it, he has every right to be pissed off. If it wasn't that PSH is beloved and deserving of tribute, I'd completely agree with him.
I generally like QOTSA, think the Grammys suck AND actively dislike Imagine Dragons… but this a bit 2edgy4me Josh. You are a major label multi-millionaire media darling performing at the Grammys, hardly "gritty rock cred." This just seems like typical pop-star hissy-fit. Suck it up!

TNG - "Lower Decks"
i LOVE that the theme song and hugely successful advertisement is literally a propaganda tool in the movie universe. its brilliant. we are all at the whim of lord business! we are them! they are us!
for context, id suggest seeing the movie. in it, the song acts as a propaganda tool for the villain to brainwash the masses into compliance. i think its use as the big pr push for the movie is quite clever.
people seem to love to hate on this guy, but his bo staff and karate skills are OFF THE CHAIN https://www.youtube.com/wat…
this kind of sounds amazing. ill be in NYC this weekend and will make an effort to witness this unique spectacle of… whatever it is.
