The script has been kicking around online for the best part of a decade. It's actually gone the other way as the icky psycho sexual angle was it's thing; it somehow seems to have been redressed as rom-com which in itself is creepy and why reviewers are picking up on the dissonance.

It's a shame because that's pretty much what the original script did. Seems Spaihts can't get a break in getting his work to the screen intact.

Nope. You're picking the wrong fight.
It's about a group of middle / upper class heroes putting the working class in their place. It's even explicit that that's its thing… My Fair Lady joke FFS.

I really liked it too.

The first series was lovely design, awesome Eva, hillarious Timmy, dat dere Billie's Mrs Doyle impression ta be sure, gwan gwan gwan gwan… The bland American gun fighter what's his face, and that nice Roy Kinnear's boy… But jeeping fuck it was crap everytime Eva and Timmy weren't chewing on everything like a labrador

This is like shopping round a remake of Eraserhead or El Topo. Absolutely fucking barking.

He was already a punchline for making a 3 and a half hour version of King Kong.

And that it's probably going to be like the 15th different actor to play him.

Surf's up pal…

That is brilliant. I'm torn between ordering that or the Psycho one

A bad gout!

A blackout! Chuga Chuga Chuga Chuga
A veely vanna blackout!

It's hard rock in a different wrapper, the rest is just marketing bullshit. It's barely recognisable as a genre.

Went to see the Dub Pistols live on Thursday. Flipping brilliant as always.

Judgement Night is the definitive 90's soundtrack album for me.

I love that I share a birthday with Dr Who… Although I've not had quite as many and I didn't get to take ten years off.

"The BBC is terrible at keeping things under wraps"

The police announced today that they're pursuing a ginger-faced man and an angry woman in connection with inquiries.

Same as most booze it depends on the rum. There's loads of good Cuban sipping rums like Havana Club or Santiago that won't break the bank. Especially in Cuba. It's not snobby to drink it neat. As a long drink I love it with ginger beer myself. Got to say I'm not keen on mixing booze and coke, damned as a snob or not.

I was thinking there was a great early 90's run of these rural small town neo noirs. One False Move, Red rock West, The Last Seduction. Loved all that stuff.
