I noticed it but wasn't sure what it was trying to say. I know they started off being basically rich-fancy-lady shoes, but then everyone started making red-bottom shoes to mimic them, so it became sort of a parody of its original prestige. Similar to Louis Vuitton stuff, people see a bag with "LV" on it and assume

Nope, camel

Ugh, just stop it already, Jay. Just stop.

I moved away from there because (among other things) I didn't really like the people. One summer two of my very best friends moved away and I never really recovered from that.

I never really thought Prince Paul could ruin anything, but his dumb shit on "Twin Hype Back" is soooo gross and annoying, it screws up the whole song. The only misstep here in my opinion.

I feel like "cool days, red hot nights" actually works as the beginning idea for a decent song. I'd listen to it.

This ain't yo DADDY'S unjustified outrage!

There is kind of a lot of that going on in the album. Surprisingly long chunks of dancehall just dropping in the middle of tracks. I dig it, though.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if we all hated bankers (or choose your own group causing the world to burn) as much as we hate hippies and other worthless/harmless people. "They reek of patchouli!!!!" Oh, I see. Capital offense.

The last verse is just way too long. He acknowledges it at the end, but his half-yell delivery has become tiresome by then. It's too bad because I like the song a lot, so I just end up hitting "next" when I catch myself thinking "wait, this verse is still going on?"

Yeah, we got over that.

I actually kind of agree with him, we're all a little too busy licking our wounds. I don't know why I am saying this, I'm a depressive type

So goddamn good. I felt like I was getting robbed the first time I heard it. Exhilarating.

Yeah, that was good. I just love how Adomian plays up the ugly-guy insecurity of Giamatti to absurd levels. EVERYTHING is a slight. And the Ventura character is kinda long in the tooth at this point.

Love Adomian as Giamatti, but don't really dig him as Ventura.

I remember feeling strongly about this as well, but I stopped at some point. Recommended.

No, it means we have to wait the WHOLE weekend (top-notch podcast listening time, I might add) to find out which podcasts weren't dreck!

It's the only one of theirs I like, but yeah, The Argument is soooo damn good.

Whoops, I thought this was about a song on his album that came out awhile ago, I didn't realize he already was releasing new music. So, I thought there was some weird attempt to put the genie back in the bottle.

I'm not sure I understand what they are actually objecting to.
